HyperNormalisation is a 2016 BBC documentary by British filmmaker Adam Curtis. Adam Curtis tells the extraordinary story of how we got to this strange time of great uncertainty and confusion - where those who are supposed to be in power are paralyzed - and have no idea what to do. And, where events keep happening that seem inexplicable and out of control - from Donald Trump to Brexit, the War in Syria, the endless migrant crisis, and random bomb attacks. It explains not only why these chaotic events are happening - but also why we, and our politicians, cannot understand them.
Kevin Adam Curtis is a British documentary film-maker. His works explore areas of sociology, psychology, philosophy and political history. Curtis describes his work as journalism that happens to be expounded via the medium of film. He is most known for The Power of Nightmares: The Rise of the Politics of Fear (2004), Pandora's Box (1992), and HyperNormalisation (2016).
